Laws made by Parliament (ie legislation) consist of:

  • Acts (also known as statutes)
  • Subordinate and delegated legislation (also known as regulations, rules, by-laws and orders)
  • Bills (the form taken before an Act has been passed)

Lawlex database is a portal to laws from all Australian jurisdictions.

NSW Legislation (Parliamentary Counsel's Office), provides online access to current and historical NSW legislation.

Weekly Bulletin (Parliamentary Counsel's Office), summary of legislative activity, including a list of bills introduced and passed, gazetted information such as acts assented to, proclamations and regulations and a list of reprinted Acts and Regulations.
